Who Is Jesus?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Christians believe Jesus Christ is the Mesiah and son of God, who died for all our sins.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cFor God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16 (NIV)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The bible says, \u201cAs a human, He was from the family of David.  But the Holy Spirit proved that Jesus is the powerful Son of God, because he was raised from death.  Romans 1:3 (CEB)  There is a plethora of <\/span>scientific and historical evidence<\/a> that proves Christ died and rose from the dead in fulfillment of the scriptures.<\/span><\/p>\n

The bible offers many <\/span>fulfilled prophesies<\/a> which show that Jesus Christ is indeed the Messiah :  <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/b>“…a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet.  I can count all my bones;  people stare and gloat over me.  They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.  Psalm 22:16-18 (NIV)  <\/b><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Psalm 22 was written about 1000 years before Christ was born and at that time, crucifixion (“pierced my hands and my feet”) had not yet been invented.  The Roman soldiers, wholly unaware of the prophesies and scriptures, said and did the following at the foot of the cross on which Christ was crucified:<\/span><\/p>\n

“So they said to one another, \u201cLet\u2019s not tear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it shall be.” This happened so that the Scripture would be fulfilled: \u201cTHEY DIVIDED MY GARMENTS AMONG THEMSELVES, AND THEY CAST LOTS FOR MY CLOTHING.\u201d Therefore the soldiers did these things. John 19:24 (NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
